Alignment

When aspiring for alignment one must consider all aspects of the self.
Physical, Mental, Emotional and  Spiritual.
One  aspect alone does not complete the whole.
As long as we desire to live, we will constantly be developing all aspects of our being. Our physical structure will form to match our mental framework.

I once read "The mind controls the body until the body gets sick, then the body controls the mind." I believe it may have been in an Eckhart Tolle book, but cannot be sure.

In essence I believe this statement to be true.
Trying to untangle the mental and emotional contributions to a physical illness, dis-ease,  I have found to be much more complex.

I believe the complexity is greatly due to the power of our ancestors and their choices,  aka DNA and how they have influenced our structural form, the skeleton.
The Seven Generations Principle explains that the choices and experiences of the past seven generations of our ancestors meld to imprint our genetic code and present experience, and reminds us that our choices today will impact those seven generations in the future.  (Had you ever wondered why the Seventh Generation product line was named Seventh Generation?  It is not a coincidence that we should consider what imprint we are leaving on our environment as our descendants seven generations from now will be affected by our choices today.) See http://www.woodbinecenter.org/node/27 for more info.

I strongly believe that rewriting our DNA is possible through the power of uniting and listening to all four of our energetic bodies.
Learning to listen to our internal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies is a skill that can be developed through self-discipline and attentiveness.   Learning to decipher their language is comparable to learning to speak and interpret a foreign language.

In a moment of need this week I  reopened The Living Gita by Sri Swami Satchidananda and read "Anybody who trades their peace for anything else in life is foolish......Peace is the only way....When we forget (the meaning) and only stick to the name, we fight even in the name of God...." Chapter 9, vs. 22 pg 135.

This passage reminded me of the importance for being steadfast in maintaining my peace.
I believe that in maintaining my peace of mind, I am free to experience the pleasures of my emotions in every moment, free to choose physical actions (even inaction) that will honor my Spiritual connection to the Divine source, God, known also as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, or any name you choose.  As the passage states it is not in the name but in the meaning you put behind it.

And on this note I share with you a prose I wrote many years ago on an auspicious day while in between sessions at work.

Alignment.
To align with God.
If the body s properly aligned then there is no room for pain.
If there is no room for pain there is only Love.
If there is only Love then there is only God.
Then the form is Aligned with God.

Blessings of Peace, Alignment, Health and Well Being.

What Today Brings: Possibility and Opportunity.

What today brings is a new day full of both possibility and opportunity.   How do we balance the two?    How do we insure that the possibilities and opportunities of the day are serving to enhance our well-being, our highest good?

First let's explore their definitions per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

Possibility is the condition or fact of being possible. The Latin origins of the word hint at ability. Possibility also refers to something that "could happen", that is not precluded by the facts, but usually not probable.

opportunity (plural opportunities)
1.a chance for advancement, progress or profit
2.a favorable circumstance or occasion

I believe possibility brings with it renewed hope and a strengthening in the beliefs necessary to breed success, opening hopefully our mind, hearts and bodies to what could be.
I also believe that it is possible to get lost in the possibilities and miss the opportunities that allow us to actualize the success we desire.
I believe there is a necessary place for both possibility and opportunity in our lives, and either if over-used can begin to impinge our flow of a prosperity.

No possibility nor opportunity can guarantee us the outcome our heart desires, but I believe both are necessary factors to help us determine and discern what it is we want for ourselves in life.

My advice,  take time to both notice the trees in the forest and the forest full of trees,  and then make the choice that feels best for you in that moment.  Peaceful reflection relaxes the mind and the body, allowing our spirits to blossom.

Blessings of Peace, Health and Wellness

Some of My Favorite Things - Part 1...

Blog Entry Take 2!!

It's a new day and I am disciplining myself to post only once a week as this is something I am aspiring to do to enhance my health vs.  just adding one more thing to my to do  list.   I find that being a great wife, mother, friend and therapist provides me with ample daily tasks for a to do list, nothing else necessary to keep me busy.  Quiet, happy time is what I want more of.
Following is 1 thing I love and why I love it.  Hopefully there will be more to come, and yes I did take this idea from Oprah!  Thanks O.

Perelandra Products, available through me or on their website  http://www.perelandra-ltd.com/
      Love them because....

1.   I can safely use them to support and stabilize my whole life including my body, my mind, my environments, my projects, my loved ones, my plants (where applicable) and my pets (if I had any), just to name a few.

2.  They are made sustainably with out extreme heat or force, just lots of love, mother earth's blessings (herbs, minerals, H20, etc.), sunlight and I am sure the willingness to wait for the development process to complete itself.   This means they are not polluting the air we breathe or the water we drink to make them!   I recommend watching The Eleventh Hour, a documentary narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio to learn a bit about the science of Biomimicry and more,   or visiting http://biomimicryinstitute.org/about-us/what-is-biomimicry.html.

3. They are fluid based which greatly increases their bio-availability when consumed, requiring the body less energy to digest or process and expediting distribution.

4.  I think Machaelle Wright, the founder of Perelandra is a genius in her own right!

Many Thanks to All!  Have a happy, healthy week.

SES for Health is...

Welcome,

If you are here you probably know who I am but may or may not be familiar with my health philosophy, my goals in being a health care practitioner  or what really makes me tick.
So I hope through this blog those I know and love and those I have yet to meet will have the opportunity to connect with me while enhancing their own personal health and well-being.

So essentially SES for Health is me, Sarah Steger, it is a representation of who I am and who I want to be as I move through this stage of my life.

Why SES?
In the beginning,  SES began very simply from the not so creative use of my initials, coupled with the word Therapies.   With time it was transformed to SES for Health to assist me in branching out of the therapist role into other possibilities in the health care field.   SES in my mind now stands for Sustainable and Environmental Solutions for Health, and can also be pared with Simple and Effective Solutions for Health.   I believe the simpler the approach the more sustainable the results and to create change we must be effective,  and why not take care of our environment in the process!!
Now is the time.

Now is the time to care for ourselves, and one another in ways that nurture and care for the whole.   It is the coming together of ourselves and our world that allows us to enjoy the abundant blessings of living our fullest lives now.

Peace and Health to all this blessed day and always.

Sarah
PS.   I hope to write once a week for now so check back when you can:).
